Jason Cohen Pittsburgh and Habit for Humanity Rehab Home for Family

With more than 10 years of real estate investment experience, Jason Cohen heads Jason Cohen Pittsburgh, a real estate consulting group. Actively involved in his community, he has contributed to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh, through which he and his team helped rehabilitate a home for a family in need in 2013.

Located in the Sharpsburg area, the home was rehabbed for a family of seven that moved to the area after being displaced by war in the Republic of Burundi. A Sharpsburg police officer had sold the home at a low price to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh, which purchased it specifically for the family. The rehab process included minor demolition and modifications to the home’s plumbing and electricity to ensure everything complied with local codes.

Funded by the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, the project also benefited from fundraisers held by Fox Chapel Area School District.

National Multifamily Housing Council – Main Events in 2017

A leading real estate investor and consultant in Pittsburgh, Jason Cohen leads his group, Jason Cohen Pittsburgh, in advising real estate investors in the area. Outside of his role at Jason Cohen Pittsburgh, he contributes to the work of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), which holds a number of informational events each year.

NMHC’s two major events scheduled for 2017 are the NMHC Student Housing Conference and Exposition and the NMHC OPTECH Conference and Exposition.

The NMHC Student Housing Conference and Exposition will take place from September 25 through 27 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina in Florida. The annual event draws more than 700 attendees involved in student housing, from owners and developers to lenders and university partners.

The NMHC OPTECH Conference and Exposition is scheduled for October 25 through 27 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The event brings together leaders in the multifamily housing sector to discuss strategic action and share new ideas.
